eInvoice Overview: Microsoft's Digital Operations Center (DOC)
Summary
What is the Digital Operations Center (DOC)?
DOC is an internet portal that allows Microsoft’s customers to efficiently transact business with Microsoft via web-based tools. The interface allows Company Administrators to create, provision and manage additional portal user accounts for their company. This tool is separate from the WMLA Licensing Portal.
What are some of the benefits of using DOC?
It simplifies the day-to-day operations with Microsoft.
It provides on demand viewing of invoices and agreements.
It supports Microsoft's commitment to Go Green.
What is a Company Administrator (CA)?
The general notice and/or billing contact for your company was identified as the Company Administrator to manage your DOC account. This person can provision and assign additional user roles and determine how other company users can view information in the DOC system. Microsoft recommends that each Company Administrator setup a backup Company Administrator to avoid an interruption of service should the primary Company Administrator be unavailable.
Can I change my main Company Administrator?
Yes, a letter requesting the change can be written on company letterhead and sent to Microsoft. Please note that this will also change the general notice contact on your Microsoft agreements executed with the WMLA Licensing Operations Team. If you would like to assign an additional Company Administrator in the DOC system, this can be done when the primary Company Administrator assigns user roles.
How will I know when I have a new invoice to view in DOC?
Once the invoice is generated, it will flow into the DOC system and you will receive an email alert to inform you that a new invoice is ready to view.
Can I continue to receive paper invoices?
Yes, please send Microsoft and email with your request (msoemops@microsoft.com) informing us that you would like to continue receiving paper invoices. You will still have access to DOC and receive an email alert when invoices are generated even if you choose to receive paper invoices.
